Would you look at that?

The Graphic Novelist JCS BTR show is in less than three days!

Hopefully you’re as excited as I am.

A few hours prior to the show, an chat will be open.

So come one and all. Share your thoughts and questions about The Anguished Immortals Trilogy, and if you’ve seen it…Bleeding Stars and Paper Hearts: Book One, Adrianna is mine.

Everyday up until the show, I will be posting a blog as a reminder as well as for those who are interested.

Tell anyone you know that will be interested!

So…someone (well two people) Took time out of their day to tell me…which I’m still not clear about…
Something about…work not being good.

It was like jealous mash up, mixed in with a subtle way of saying they didn’t like my artwork.

There’s a conformity in the Graphic Novel industry as well. I’m sorry…my work will stay the way it is. Whether you like it or not.

To be honest…at the end of the day…I’m the one more satisfied with how it looks than anyone else. And sorry to say…but sometimes that’s the only thing that matters.

I will not rip apart anyone’s hopes and dreams if their style is ‘different.’ nor will I allow anyone to demean my hard work either.

It’s funny those comments were posted…as I’m POSITIVE they’ve never read my book…or any of my work. The nay sayers usually skim through it anyway…they usually don’t know what they’re talking about.

But I will say this.

If someone is already telling me NO…that can mean only one thing.

I’m doing something and I’m a threat.

Am I happy about that? Heck no. But I will go about this in a mature manner. First I can numbly say….I DON’T CARE. Secondly…your opinion is as good as monopoly money here, and lastly. I’m not famous.

Not yet.

So calm down, alright!

Honestly, I’m doing something I’m passionate about…that’s all that matters here. The rest will follow.

Now mind you…I did receive one comment that obliterated everything else. I was commended on my work, and told my page had been bookmarked. I’ve already thanked that person.

Isn’t life funny, though?
