Aftermath

Hopefully you enjoyed your holiday?

I spent most of it resting.

Then some of it eating.

Overall, I’ve had horrible dizzy spells all week long. Thankfully, they’ve subsided, as I could barely sit up, or read.

Not sure what was going on, but my guess would be my lack of producing red blood cells. Anemia comes with Lupus 😦

And it’s a good thing it’s cleared up, tonight I’ll be on the air!

What other progressions can I run by you?

Blogtalk Radio-

I’ve had well over 3,700 listens in about four weeks. That’s a great amount to me…I’m doing this on my own.

Whether it’s word of mouth, me pestering people on Facebook and Twitter…things are going well.

This is only my fifth show, and I have a very long way to go. But I plan on continuing this journey.

Hopefully you’ll be listening in?

Anguished Immortals, Book Two: Zerachiel’s Seed-

There’s an ample preview available on the website…that will remain up until August 15. At that time I’ll be switching out the current chapters and posting ones further on in the novel…while leaving the entire thing sparse.

I’m very excited about publishing the second book. It’s quite the accomplishment for me.

I do want to ramble on about a few things.

Facebook hosts a plethora of want to be authors. With some who roll out books months after the first was established. The only time this should happen is if you’ve got another series going on…and you should really be careful with that as well.

It’s been an entire year since the release of Book One, Acts of the Fallen.

Why did it take me so long? What was I afraid of?

Nothing. I’m patient. There isn’t a reason to bomb the audience with all three novels when you’re first starting out. Taking time to insure one book has had enough light is actually a good idea. What if you publish the second near the first…and the second novel is what people like more? The defeats the purpose of writing a series/trilogy.

On top of that…credibility takes a stance. With a book being out longer, this shows there’s room for improvement and networking. You don’t have much wiggle room months between publishes.

And everything can change in a year, as I’ve learned. I’ve jumped up in seller’s rank on amazon. Although this was unexpected…it’s that progress I was willing to wait for.

Byond Epic Ent Giveaway-

So far it’s going well. In fact so well…outside parties/people are attempting to participate.

That’s great news! At first it seemed it would mostly be people on Facebook…but since I’ve branched out…so have the entries.

The giveaway is looking at 110 entries so far, with 25 days to go. Hopefully, this month will be momentous. With that many entries and only 5 days into the month…I’ll be reeling in anxiety until July’s giveaway ends.

Have you entered yet?

You could win a signed copy of Anguished Immortals: Book One, Acts of the Fallen, a signed shirt, and a signed print.

Congratulations to Amanda C Edmunds for winning the contest fair and square. Happy to send her these cool items, and I can’t wait until the end of July!
