A Near Death Anthem

When you fear you’re all alone.
When you feel the darkness caving, all on its own.
Love it when you’re wrong.
Let the darkness feed on your broken heart.
And the ravens will feed on your pride.
As you lay face up, as the sun teases your life.
One more drink away from Hell’s gate.
You will recite…you will say.
Oh, how she loved me. My strife is her alibi.
What washes my sins clean are tears from her eyes.
