Shine On Its Own

Does the moon speak to the sun.
Asking, “Will you shine on me?”
I think not, it’s confident in it’s routine.
Does the wind, who pushes by force…
Ask the earth to open it’s door?
It’s expectant of this trend.
It’s supposed to, it’s the wind.
This settles my heart enough to smile.
This hasn’t happened in a while.
I shine without a word from you.
I feel your wind blow through and through.
My expectations should be this.
You’re here now, I should feel bliss.
A constant trend to know.
You will not let me go.
If ever I doubt your heart.
I’ll take my reminder from the start.
That the moon doesn’t shine on it’s own.
And the wind has made earth it’s home.
