I have recently had to grow up a little bit more. I realize that most individuals are despicable.

I won’t go into detail on what gave me this final conclusion, but I would like to point out that it’s a sad thing to steal from people when you have a job to do…and you’re almost fifty years old doing this.

We could go on about my accomplishments and who I am, but I fell victim to someone else’s selfishness. The best part about it is that I’m going to forgive and forget. And it’s actually funny, considering–what this person stole has no use to him. It can’t be sold for much, and the other items were personal, used and old.

It does, however, go to show how stupid people are. Why steal something so meaningless? I’ve come to see it’s usually to barter for drugs. Your life is shit. You saw no light at the end of the tunnel, and instead of swallowing your pride and moving on…you decided no one understood…your life was garbage…and drugs would take the pain away. You’re also selfish. There’s always someone suffering far worse than you…and someone suffering far worse than them. Did it ever occur to you that you don’t matter as much as you think you do?

Or is that why you steal and do drugs? In actuality…you aren’t supposed to look to matter to someone else or the entire world. You’re supposed to matter to yourself. That’s why people can’t love you or have a hard time doing so. That is why you are supposedly misunderstood. Once you love yourself…the rest falls into place.

You cannot say love has to be taught. Love has to be earned. Yes, you have to earn your own love. You do it your entire life, and it is never ending. A lot of us spend our lives looking for others to love us. That’s why relationships end the way the do. It isn’t their job alone to love you. And if you feel like I’m being bias…remember that I’m 30 and have lived through greater terrors than people twice my age.

This lack of self love also explains why people are so willing to sleep with anyone…as if humans are so easily discarded–you know–except for the person discarding. We try to look back into what happened to our people or civilizations. The truth of the matter is…we will continue to be what we were in the beginning. It takes a lot of work to be a good person.

While you’re attempting to shed light on our failing country…or people in general. Shine a light on yourself. If it’s ugly…take it…fix it…

For yourself.
